If you had all the money in the world…

Brain Pickings featured an interesting video this week that has audio from a famous British philosopher, Alan Watts.  Here’s the video:

In a nutshell, the video says: Go after your passion, and the money will follow.

We here at Nerd Absurd are certainly following our passions by producing this podcast series, but we’ve yet to see a dime from it.  Are there any other starving artists out there who have actually been able to monetize their passions? On the other hand, perhaps videos like this do most humans an injustice.  Sure, we all think living on a boat or spending our days writing poetry would be great.  Yet, most of us never do it.  It might boil down to the fact that we like our income streams more than the passions that we’re so happy to dream about.
