Episode 21: Organ Donation
Today we’re talking about a recent study on organ donation that suggests that people are in favor of paying families for the organs of their deceased relatives. Nick thinks that organ donation should be strictly opt-out, and Virginia questions the morality of paying a very poor person for an organ. Andrew and Mike debate whether or not prisoners should be compelled to donate. We also tackle the question voluntary suicide by potential donors in return for large payments for the donor’s surviving family members. After we finally come to an agreement on organ donation policy, we speculate about whether or not organ donation will even be an issue in the future.
