Since Estonia is now teaching it’s first graders how to code, the group delves into the possibilities. Certainly, learning to code is a fundamental skill in a world of technology. But, how much of society’s recent interest in a fad? When New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg learns to code, have things gone too far? Finally, we talk about recent studies that indicate some students might not be able to follow structured logic and thus are at a disadvantage in coding courses. Is it fair to force kids to program when they are at a disadvantage?
